We are so lucky to have the sun! Unfortunately, the warm sun brings the dreaded foxtail! Foxtails are a barbed weed that can plague our sweet dogs. As dogs romp around and play, a foxtail can stick into their fur, burrow into their skin, get into ears, eyes and noses.
Please be cautious and make a habit out of looking though your dogs fur and paws to make sure there are not any foxtails stuck on your dog. If one gets into the dogs’ ears or nose they will have to go to the vet to get it removed. Though it is not an emergency, it is still important that it gets treated quickly! Let’s all enjoy some much needed warm weather!
Come make your voice heard at the rally for off-leash dog walking at Fort Funston, Crissy Field and other gorgeous parks that have allowed dogs for decades! There will not be public comment at the meeting so we need to be heard! Bring signs, bring your voices but please don’t bring your dog.
Monday, March 7th, 5.30 pm at the Lower Lever, FOrt Mason Center, Building B.
K9 Safari will not be walking dogs this Monday, February 21st, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We wish you all a happy and relaxing 3 day weekend!
