Unfortunately, the warm sun brings the dreaded foxtail! Foxtails are a barbed weed that can plague our sweet dogs. As dogs romp around and play, a foxtail can stick into their fur, burrow into their skin, get into ears, eyes and noses.

Please be cautious and make a habit out of looking though your dogs fur and paws to make sure there are not any foxtails stuck on your dog. If one gets into the dogs’ ears or nose they will have to go to the vet to get it removed. Though it is not an emergency, it is still important that it gets treated quickly! Let’s all enjoy some much needed warm weather!
